Jude Mansilla’s 6th annual CanJam is always a major event at the Rocky Mountain Audiofest. And 2014 was bigger and better than ever. This year, the CanJam had a total of 42 vendors, making for an amazing weekend of personal audio!

Todd The Vinyl Junkie was showing Pete Millet’s latest amplifier, the Apex Spire priced at $1499.00 and with a separate power supply. Designed by legendary designer Pete Millet, it uses one ECC 802 JJ tube and can use 12AU7 and a variety of other tubes. The amp sounded magnificent driving the HD800. Putting out 750MW into 33 ohms this is an impressive creation.
The new MrSpeakers Alpha Prime was on display. Reviewed by Michael Mercer here at Headphone.Guru, this new Prime has a re-engineered driver that Dan Clark been working on this for the past year. A major upgrade from the Alpha Dog and priced at $999.00.
The return of a legend. Dennis Had (of Cary fame) has come out of retirement and designed this new Inspire headphone amplifier. Using two 6SN7 tubes and single Princess 274B this amp was making sweet sounds. The amp is single ended but had two headphone jacks and one single ended 4pin XLR for balanced cables . The BNC music Server from Pure music does both video and music. This world class server is priced at $4200.
Drew Baird with all of his headphones. His signature Silver Dragon and Black Dragon cables were also on display as well as the players form Astell and Kern. Drew had the biggest assortment of goodies and they are all available on his website.
The EF 100 from Hifiman is a 9W headphone and speaker amp. The sound with the HE560 was magnificent and incredibly transparent. The price was $499.00.

Astell and Kern were showing the 75th Anniversary Blue Note AK240. Loaded with 75 Blue note Jazz albums at 24bit/192kHz . Priced at $6000 and only 1000 limited edition units were made.
