Welcome back to my coverage of CanJam NYC 2026.
I would like to extend special thanks to Noble Audio for making this coverage possible, not only do they make incredible IEMs and now Headphones, they have always been a great supporter of the Personal Audio community in general, often sponsoring our coverage of these events
ēcoute

ēcoute was previewing their newest model wireless tube headphone (model# and price TBA) with an improved headband and gimbles over the current model, the ēcoute TH1 ($899), which stands unique in the industry as the only wireless option that offers the unparalleled sound quality of a tube amp.

WARWICK ACOUSTICS

Always attracting a long line of enthusiasts waiting to listen, WARWICK ACOUSTICS were demonstrating their epic WARWICK ACOUSTICS Aperio Electrostatic Headphone System ($35,000) and WARWICK ACOUSTICS Bravura Electrostatic Headphone System ($6,995) using their signature isolation booth.

SYNERGISTIC RESEARCH

New to CanJam, but not the audiophile world, SYNERGISTIC RESEARCH set up a research project with three identical systems, the control system utilizing stock cables and a generic line conditioner, to be compared to a system with their mid-level power supplies and cables, and one with their top-tier offerings to determine if attendees could hear a difference, and what improvements or detriments that intailed. Though it wasn’t on the questionnaire, I found the noise floor was most affected, improving subtly with each level up. The soundstage was quite impressive in the control system, so again, the improvements were subtle, though definitely present. I am not normally a fan of A/B tests as they only tell you that there is a difference, but rarely which sounds better, but in this case, the difference was the point.

STATUS AUDIO

Newcomer STATUS AUDIO is jumping into the competitive TWS market with their three-driver hybrid Status Pro X ($249), which features a 12mm Dynamic subwoofer and Dual Knowles Balanced Armature Drivers, six microphones, and IP55 water resistance. (Review forthcoming)

Millennia Music & Media Systems/imersiv multi-path

One of the most exciting discoveries at the show was pro audio company imersiv multi-path, a division of Millennia Music & Media Systems, who were showing in the Apos room. Introducing their imersiv multi-path D-1 HDR-A DAC ($12,000), with which they have been able to achieve true 28bit dynamic range of 168dB, well in excess of the transistors themselves. If I understand their logic at all, their digital output has 180dB dynamic range, and their analog output is a mind-blowing 168 dB. I’m hoping to get a hold of a review sample for testing.

Apos

What drew me into the Apos room was their cleverly worded sign that took advantage of the fact that they booked the Majestic room at the show. What Apos is, is an online retailer/manufacturer, created by a group of hobbiests who wanted to see their ideas brought to fruition. In their room the set up tables for several of the companies they represent, as well as those products they themselves developed, such as the Apos x Audio-Technica ATH-R70x Refine Headphone ($299). One item of interest was the Apos x Community Gremlin Tube Amp ($120), which was an open chassis, Class A, fully balanced tube headphone amplifier using a matched pair of classic 12AU7 preamp tubes, designed to work in conjunction with the Apos x Geshelli Merlin AKM Desktop DAC ($225).

Stay tuned for Part 4 of my coverage of CanJam NYC 2026. Once again, I would like to extend special thanks to Noble Audio for making this coverage possible.
